PARTS WARRANTY

The following applies to Parts of Trailer Tech and EnergyTech products purchased in Australia.

"Part/s" means the following: 12 Months Part Only Warranty.  

"We/Us/Our" means Sanura Trading Pty Ltd and/or our authorized distributors.

"You" means the customer who has purchased a TrailerTech or EnergyTech product. 

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

In addition to Your rights and remedies at law, all of our products are covered by this Parts Warranty.

What the Part Warranty Covers

We warrant that all parts purchased from us will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use (as set out in our product documentation) for a period of 12 months from the original date of purchase ("Warranty Period").

The parts warranty is on a part only basis and all works carried out to install the parts are payable by the customer.

Further, and in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law, we warrant that:

  1. The parts are of acceptable quality when sold to a consumer;
  2. The description of the parts are accurate;
  3. The parts will satisfy any extra promises made about them;
  4. The parts will be reasonably fit for any purpose specified;
  5. The parts will match any sample or demonstration model and any description provided;
  6. We have the right to sell the parts, unless we alerted you before the sale that we had ‘limited title’;
  7. No one will try to repossess or take back the parts, or prevent you from using the parts;
  8. The parts are free of any hidden securities or charges and will remain so;
  9. We will take reasonable steps to provide spare parts and repair facilities for the Warranty Period.

What This Parts Warranty Does Not Cover

This Parts Warranty applies only to the components of Parts and does not cover defects or damage caused by You for the following:

  1. Normal wear and tear; or
  2. Accidents; or
  3. Neglect; or
  4. Misuse; or
  5. Alterations; or
  6. Incorrect installation, operation or maintenance (including failure to follow product documentation and maintenance schedule); or
  7. Disassembly or unauthorised repairs; or
  8. External forces such as water damage, excessive force, extreme heat, cold or environment conditions.

This Parts Warranty does not guarantee that the operation of parts will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Void of Parts Warranty

You warrant that You have received a copy of the product documentation and maintenance schedule.

You warrant that you will adhere to the obligations of the maintenance schedule. You acknowledge that regular servicing and maintenance of the Parts by a qualified mechanic may reduce the risk of damage to the product and extend the lifetime of the product.  

Should you make a claim under this parts warranty, you will be required to submit a completed maintenance schedule to us. Should you fail to adhere to the obligations of the maintenance schedule, you may void the parts warranty.

How To Make a Claim Under This Parts Warranty

To make a claim under this parts warranty, you must:

  1. Contact us by sending an email to info@trailertechau.com.au during the Warranty Period and within one (1) month of becoming aware of the defect;

  2. Provide the following details to us;
  • Your name and contact information;
  • Proof of purchase, showing the date and place of purchase from us or our authorized distributor;
  • Description of the defect;
  • Detailed photos of the defect;
  • The maintenance schedule checklist, completed;
  • Another other information we may require.

Unless we agree otherwise, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning a Parts to us. We will be responsible for all costs associated with sending you the repaired or replacement parts. Parts will be at Your risk while the products are in transit to and from our nominated address.

We may reject claims under the parts warranty that are not made in accordance with these terms.

Nothing in this parts warranty limits or otherwise affects your statutory rights.

What We Will Do Under the Parts Warranty

If we assess that the part returned during the warranty period has a defect covered by this parts warranty, we will at our cost and option:

  • Repair the defective part;
  • Replace the defective part; or
  • Give you a refund of the original purchase price of the defective part upon return of the part to us.

Defective parts may be replaced with the equivalent refurbished parts. Refurbished parts may be used to repair defective parts. Repaired or replaced parts will be covered under this parts warranty for the remainder of the original warranty period (replacement or repair does not extend the original Warranty Period). Returned parts that have been replaced will become our exclusive property.

If we determine that a returned part is in satisfactory working order, we may require You to:

  • Reimburse our reasonable costs of inspecting and testing the part; and
  • Pay the costs of returning the part to you.

 Additional Terms

The provisions of this parts warranty cannot be modified or extended by our employees, agents, distributors or resellers or any other person.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any failure or delay in meeting Our obligations under this parts warranty to the extent that this is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

The benefits given to you by this parts warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies You have under the Australian Consumer Law in relation to products to which this parts warranty relates.
